Water helps to eliminate toxins

One of the easiest things you can do to improve your health is to increase your water intake and drink lots of water. This needs to be done gradually over a period of 2 – 3 weeks, until you are drinking 4 pints a day (2 litres) It is important for many reasons, at the very least it flushes toxins out of your body and helps the kidneys and the liver to do their jobs properly.

You will be suprised just how many symptoms - from headaches to general aches and pains can be improved just by re - hydrating your body. Many clients that come to see me are dehydrated to some degree and benefit from hydrating themsleves. The usual drinks like tea and coffee that we tend to favour, even though they contain water, will still have a dehydrating effect on your body. Fizzy drinks and alcohol are included in this too.

Water retention is often caused as a result of dehydration, as the body thinks there is a water shortage and so hangs on to any water instead of expelling it.

The histamine response is exaggerated if you are dehydrated to any degree and is an important consideration for anyone who suffers from allergies such as hayfever.

If you want beautiful looking skin you need to ensure that it is well hydrated. Your skin, which is the largest organ of detoxification, can give you night sweats as it desperately tries to eliminate the poisons in your body. This is a really important job your body is doing for you. Help the toxins to be eliminated by drinking three or four pints of filtered water a day. This helps to support the kidneys, which use up an enormous amount of the energy that you have.

You may tend to want to pass urine more often because the bladder is also helping to get rid of the poisons and it is irritated by the strength of its contents, often alerting you before it is anywhere near full. Increase the amount gradually and eventually your bladder will get used to it and only alert you when it is full.

Start your day by drinking a big mug of hot water with a slice of lemon in it. This will help to support your liver and help to flush any toxins out and get your day off to a good start.
