Hummus

Ingredients
  • 100grams of cooked chick peas
  • 1tblsp of sesame seeds or tahini
  • 2-3 tblsp of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1tblsp of lemon juice
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • pinch of lo- salt
  • half a tsp of paprika

Method

Blend all the ingredients in a food processor adding some water if needed to give you the consistency of a thick dip. Serve with some vegetables cut up into fun shapes, use carrots, peppers, cucumbers, celery.

Chick peas are rich in protein and a good source of many other nutrients, including calcium, magnesium, iron, copper and some of the B vitamins. Sesame seeds are one of the best sources of calcium and magnesium, also providing protein and zinc.
