The Test

Intolerance Testing

Some common symptoms connected with food intolerances are:

Irritable bowel syndrome, bloating, fatigue, headaches, aching joints.

I test for over 100 different products including a wide range of common foods, drinks, dust, pollen, smoke, alcohol, pet hair, E-Numbers, additives etc.

Using the very latest in technology, the test I use is an absolutely pain free process. A small probe (pen-like instrument) is simply placed onto an energy point on the hand and levels are then measured each time a substance being tested for is placed into the circuit.

The substance is then gauged as to the level of resistance and advice on whether or not to exclude from the diet totally, or to refrain from large amounts of it is then given.

A sheet with full information of what has been tested, what is advised for avoiding and general nutritional advice is given to the client for future reference. (15mins for this is included in the test fee).

My service is unique in that, as a trained Nutritional Therapist I am able to offer a free report of my findings, looking for any underlying problems that may have contributed to the development of food sensitivities. I will work with you and make simple, achievable, recommendations to try and rectify this so that your body may be able to cope better, often relieving any symptoms of food intolerance. In order for me to do this, you will need to fill in quite a detailed questionnaire based upon your previous health so that I then have a detailed case history to work from. This is optional as some people just require the intolerance test to be done.

Vitamin & Mineral Deficiency Testing

As part of the full test I include a free test to check for deficiencies in common vitamin & minerals. If your body is lacking a specific vitamin or mineral this may be contributing to your symptoms and correcting this alone can, in some cases, rectify the problem. I tend to find that lifestyles can influence your vitamin & mineral intake severely and therefore this check is very useful for those who are already weakened by illness, age, diet or stressful & fast-paced living, or those who smoke or drink as this depletes vitamin intake.
