May Lauder C.H.Ed.Dip NutTh. Dip A.I.T

I am a qualified Nutritional Therapist and a member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and consider myself to be lucky enough to be based in a beautiful part of West Wales near Lampeter.

My aim is to empower you with knowledge about your own health and the way in which your diet and lifestyle may be contributing to any of your own health issues. You can then take control and start improving your own health, enabling you to enjoy a happier, healthier life.

I have worked in the catering industry for over 20 years and always had an interest in cooking and eating good, healthy food and thought I knew a lot about the impact that food has on our health but didn’t realise just how important this was until I became ill a few years ago and started investigating this further.

I read a book about de-toxing the body and how lightening the load and increasing its nutritional status could increase the body’s ability to bring itself back into balance and harmony, improving and restoring the overall health of the body. I then became aware that it was also important to look for the root cause of any health issues rather than just the presenting symptoms.

After being able to improve my own health, I decided to study the subject further and started studying Nutritional Therapy through the Kevala Centre in Torquay. They offer a variety of interesting courses and more information on them can be found by following the link for them on my links pages.

I also studied food intolerance testing with Fiona Gibson. The principal from the College of Holistic Health and Nutrition.

I now want to share the knowledge I’ve learned from my studies and share it with you, working with you to improve your own health. I also want to promote the importance of Nutrition and the way in which it can influence our health. It is slowly being recognised as being an important factor but there is still a long way to go and the role of the Nutritional Therapist today is becoming increasingly important in this.
