Welcome
to Seekingbalance.co.uk The
aim of Nutritional Therapy is to seek balance
and harmony within the body which will then
allow it to restore itself to health and vitality.I have
created this website for the purpose of providing you
with information on how Nutritional Therapy might help
you to achieve better health and I would like to tell
you a little about what Nutritional Therapy is all about
as it is probably relatively new to a lot of people.
In some ways we have
come a long way over the last century when it comes to
modern technology
and better standards of living but we
have made our environments so much more toxic, our lifestyles more
stressful and our trend towards modern convenience foods gives us
far less nutritional value in our diets than ever before. Added to
this there is the question of intensive farming which has depleted
our soil of precious minerals. We also absorb toxins through our
skin and many of today’s beauty products contain products that
are not natural. All of this creates an added burden to the toxic
load that our body’s have to deal with and sometimes years
of overworking our body’s defences can lead to problems which
manifest themselves as symptoms of ill health.
A Nutritional Therapist
is trained in clinical practise and aims to improve specific health
problems by adopting an holistic approach
to their clients and looking at the person as a whole, trying to
look beyond the presenting symptoms for a root cause to the clients
problems and assessing which body systems might need supporting.
They then assess the nutrient status and individual requirements
of each client and make appropriate dietary and supplement recommendations.
